Project Overview
Montante Solar designed and installed a 510 kilowatt (kW) solar array at the Elementary School and a 430 kW system at the High School, totaling 1,727 solar panels.
The systems are strategically positioned to maximize solar exposure and meet 100% of the district's electricity needs. The arrays will generate approximately 1.1 million kilowatt hours (kWh) annually, offsetting 19,400 metric tons of CO2 emissions over their 25-year lifespan. This project, funded through an Energy Performance Contract (EPC), takes advantage of New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) funding and a 30% Direct Pay incentive from the Federal Government under the Inflation Reduction Act. The system is projected to have a payback period of under two years, providing long-term savings for the district.
