Montante Solar was named the 2014 recipient of the Green Globe Award at the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Installation and Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, February 11th at Amigos Restaurant in Kenmore, NY. The award honors a local business that has implemented and practices a “green” or “sustainability” focused business philosophy, thus creating a cleaner and safer environment for the community.

Montante Solar was established to help area businesses reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs through the adoption of solar technology at their facilities. The company has built some of the most noteworthy solar projects in the area, including a 250 kW solar energy system at Sealing Devices in Lancaster, the first solar array at a convenience store in Western New York at Crosby’s in Lockport, and a collaboration with TM Montante Development to create Riverview Solar Technology Park in the Town of Tonawanda.
